Here are some tips for packing on your own:
1. Label your boxes with (a) which room you packed the box in and (b) what is in it
2. Pack heavy items in small boxes (heavier the item the smaller the box) and large & light items – pillows etc in large boxes
3. Pack fragile items separately and label the boxes as ‘Fragile’ so whoever is moving & stacking your boxes knows to be extra careful with fragile ones
4. You can wrap fragile items with paper, bubble wrap and also common household items too e.g., dish towels, light cloths etc. The key is to protect items from moving around in the box. If you hear jingling in the box then needs more packing!
5. Careful with liquids – don’t want anything leaking onto other items. Please check caps are on tight. If you have plastic totes, those are great for liquids. Other tip is put liquids inside a plastic bag inside your box, just in case
6. Good music helps packing quite a bit!
If you prefer a hands-off approach, our professional team offers comprehensive packing services to ensure every item is packed safely and efficiently.
